Bhaukaaals of the week

On Payal's request, here are some non-cricketing bhaukaaals. On another note, please publish more news websites known for their bhaukaaal-ing nature. The Hindu, NDTV, Aaj Tak are well known sources.

Bhaukaaal 1:
Me and Hrishi have decided that tomorrow is the last straw, D-day, final countdown, the moment.
To start what will become our daily routine for the extent of summer 2008, a routine that will soon become a habit: jogging.
Since the blog comes with a timestamp, I shall waste no more time in marking the date.
For anyone else interested, we will be @ Bayshore park everyday from 7.30 AM to 8.15 AM. Don't even bother messaging us, find us there.

Bhaukaaal 2:
"Living up to one of its fancier pre-poll promises, Tamil Nadu's ruling DMK government will soon be handing over another 30 lakh colour television sets to ‘poor households' across the state.
The freebie, one of many promised by the ruling DMK, has cost the state ex-chequer Rs 2,250 crore so far.

And the government hopes to reach a target of one crore (households) by 2011, when its term ends"

Translation:
1 crore = 10 million = 1/100 the population of India
Population of Tamil Nadu (2008) = 62 Million.
ie. for EVERY 6 people in the state (average family) they will provide a colour TV, from the taxpayer's own money.

..PURE GENIUS!
